The long-awaited Diana Thater: The Sympathetic Imagination opens on Sunday. The immersive exhibition showcases the most comprehensive collection of her work to date. Thater's pieces masterfully combine art and technology into a stimulating array of film-, video-, and installation-based works that consider the relation between man and nature. On Friday, join us for Jazz at LACMA with The Cat & Cip Band, featuring vocalist Cat Conner and saxophonist Gene Gipriano with John Chiodini. The show starts at 6 pm in the L.A. Times Central Court and is open to all. Sundays Live features cellist Sarah Rommel, an award-winning and highly accomplished musician who has collaborated with orchestras the world over. Her performance begins at 6 pm in the Bing Theater.
