Painted in Mexico, 1700–1790: Pinxit Mexici drew enthusiastic crowds when it was on view at LACMA. This month, it travels to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where it opens on April 24. Be sure to visit this magnificent display of paintings through July 22, 2018.

On May 2, Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear, 1715–2015 will open at the Powerhouse Museum in Australia, where it will be on view through October 14, 2018. Exploring the history of men's fashionable dress from the eighteenth century to the present, the exhibition, drawn primarily from LACMA's renowned collection, makes illuminating connections between history and high fashion. 

Closer to home, This Is Not a Selfie: Photographic Self-Portraits from the Audrey and Sydney Irmas Collection is on view at ArtCenter in Pasadena through June 3, 2018. This exhibition draws from an outstanding collection of photographic self-portraits donated to LACMA by the Irmases. Of course, LACMA's Egyptian art collection and select photographs by Mariana Yampolsky are on view at Vincent Price Art Museum in East Los Angeles through December 8, 2018, and A Universal History of Infamy: Those of This America is at LACMA's satellite gallery at Charles White Elementary School through October 6, 2018.
