One-day Art Workshops

October 8, 2019
Karen Satzman, Director, Youth & Family Programs

We get it. You are busy. You’ve been wanting to take an art class but can’t commit to one with recurring sessions. Well, you are in luck! We have several one-day workshops for you to choose from. Come solo or sign up with a friend.

Here’s the October lineup:

Printmaking

Make your own original prints on a printing press! These printmaking workshops, open to participants ages 16 and older, are offered twice this month, once on Saturday, October 19 and again on Saturday, October 26. Join us for one or both days.

Mythical Animals in Art

Animal loving families will have a blast in this mixed media class. Experiment with printmaking, collage, and spray paint in this intergenerational workshop inspired by Every Living Thing: Animals in Japanese Art. Offered on Saturday, October 12 for families with kids ages eight and up. Tuition includes one adult and one child.

Bon Vivant Studio—Animal Portrait Painting

Join us on Friday, October 25 to honor your beloved pet by painting their portrait in this lively evening workshop. The perfect start to your weekend, registration for this class includes acrylic paint, stretched canvas, friendly instruction, and a glass of wine! No previous art experience is necessary, just a desire to have a good time and a birthdate that makes you 21 or older.

Whether you have a fear of commitment, or really are just busy, there’s no reason why you can’t have a little creativity in your life. If you have questions about these or other art classes, contact educate@lacma.org. Enroll online or in person at the LACMA Ticket Office. We hope to see you in class soon!
