The BIG TOOBS beds, designed in 1972, are one of many objects featured in Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980. The exhibition examines design exchanges between the United States and the Nordic countries over nearly a century. Visit LACMA on Friday, December 16, to join a free guided tour and learn why Scandinavian design has continued to resonate with Americans to this day.
Don't forget to stop by the LACMA Store during your visit! The 2022 LACMA Holiday Gift Guide is now here, ispired by the museum’s collection and this year’s exciting exhibitions. We're especially delighted to include a range of beautifully designed gifts inspired by Scandinavian Design and the United States.
