Muse ‘til Midnight, LACMA’s all-out bash with live music, dancing, and fine art, is happening this Saturday at 8 pm. Kick off the night in front of Urban Light with KCRW’s Anthony Valdez on the turntables, followed by The Drumetric Collective, and culminating with the psychedelic soul sounds of Adrian Younge and his band Venice Dawn. The party moves inside where guests can enjoy after-hours access to Noah Purifoy: Junk Dada and music inspired by his fascinations with found objects. Pulsing beats from DJ Rashida and J. PERIOD cap off the celebration with a dance floor in the contemporary galleries. Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door.

Around the galleries AKTION! Art and Revolution in Germany, 1918-19 brings together posters, prints, rare books, and periodicals to capture the role of graphic arts in Germany after World War I. In Faces of America: LACMA Collects, portraits share the story of individuals and a young country headed towards urbanization, modernization, and diversification. And don’t miss Christian Marclay: The Clock before it closes on September 7.
