With paintings, drawings, sculptures, arms and armors, and decorative arts, this exhibition highlights a period (1460–1580) marked by profound changes in thought, philosophy, science, and religion, which in turn transformed the work of many artists of the day, from Albrecht Dürer to Lucas Cranach to Hans Holbein.
