Porfirio Gutiérrez is a Master Weaver in the Zapotec tradition and hails from a small village in southern Mexico. This weekend, join Gutiérrez as he shares the history of the Zapotec arts and leads visitors through the weaving process. Special woven items will be on sale at the LACMA Store.

On Sunday, join art collector Mike Kaplan and film critic Kenneth Turan in conversation about the artistic and historical significance of posters from Hollywood's Golden Age. Kaplan's collection is focused on design and he considers an ideal movie poster as one that both captures the film-going experience and also stands alone as a work of art. For more on his collection, read our latest post on Unframed. 

Also on Sunday, discover Aztec and Maya influences in Midcentury design in a panel discussion.
