This weekend at LACMA, express yourself and refine your artistic skills in one of our lively art workshops. Join us for Pop-up Art-making Activities in the Galleries this Friday, 11 am to 5 pm—a free art-making program for all ages. Simply stop by the Family Welcome Table on the Smidt Welcome Plaza when you visit to find out where we are. On Sunday, January 26, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm, attend Andell Family Sundays—Outdoor Pictures where you can create your own camera obscura in a free, artist-led workshop and create unexpected images inspired by the landscapes in the exhibition Thomas Joshua Cooper: The World’s Edge. Also on Sunday, at 10 am, guests ages 16 and older are invited to sign up for One-day Workshop—Drawing led by artist Thom Dower, where you can learn valuable observational skills and drawing techniques using charcoal and graphite.

On Saturday, January 25, LACMA will participate in the 15th Annual SoCal Museums Free-for-All Day, offering free admission along with other area museums including the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum and Craft Contemporary. Please note that we expect attendance to be high and some galleries may be subject to capacity control. Entry is first come, first served. At 4 pm, LACMA members are invited to an extended hours viewing of the exhibition Rufino Tamayo: Innovation and Experimentation, at Charles White Elementary School. The exhibition highlights the internationally acclaimed artist's engagement with printmaking and includes a selection of Mesoamerican sculptures from LACMA’s collection, an important source of inspiration for the artist.

Lastly, on Sunday at 6 pm, enjoy a riveting performance by the Crossroads Chamber Orchestra at St. James' in-the-City during Sundays Live.
